Fontaine, a mysterious and ancient water city, is quiet but not without waves. In this misty land, there are countless secrets and powers, and I, as a traveler, have the mission of uncovering these mysteries.
The morning light breaks, and the mist is like silk, covering the city of Fontaine. Catherine’s voice is as cold as an ice blade, but full of determination: “Traveler, Fontaine’s daily commission has been opened. Four tasks will lead you to the core of this water city.”
Four tasks, no more and no less, just like the rules of Fontaine, calm and orderly. Each one is a trial and a practice.
The first task is to assist a researcher in repairing an out-of-control underwater device. The water is turbulent and the energy fluctuations are abnormal, as if some unknown power is hidden. Diving into the water, I felt the call from the abyss, and the cold water flow was like a sharp blade across the skin, piercing and sobering. The moment I touched the device, there seemed to be invisible energy surging, as if talking to me. After the repair was completed, the energy gradually stabilized and the water surface returned to calm. At that moment, I understood that the lifeblood of this city was closely tied to this body of water.
The second task was to submit a court document to the designated person. Shadows and light intertwined between the towering stone pillars, as if they were the embodiment of justice and order. The submission was simple and solemn, and each page of paper seemed to carry endless responsibilities and destiny. The judge’s deep eyes revealed a silent majesty that made people feel awe. At this moment, I felt the iron-blooded law of this city and its determination to protect peace.
As the task was completed, the reputation gradually increased. Reputation, like a guide in the sea of stars, brought new power and glory. The secrets of Fontaine were gradually opened to me. New drawings, new manufacturing, new teleportation gates… everything was under control.
As night fell, the lights of Fontaine were dotted, like the Milky Way reflected on the water. Standing on the top of the tower, I overlooked this water city and felt the history and vicissitudes hidden in it. Every waterway and every roof tile records the stories of countless predecessors.
Although the daily commissions are small, they are like a grindstone in the rivers and lakes, polishing my will and mind. Every completion is an accumulation of cultivation and a tempering of strength. The road of a traveler has never been smooth, but it is these bits of persistence that have forged an indestructible belief.
Fontaine is my trial field and my destination. Here, I will continue to move forward, solve more mysteries, and face more challenges.
The story of the water city has just begun.
